Girl Talk's New Release - All Day

A new release from Girl Talk just came out on Monday entitled All Day. He takes the same sort of route, same technique as before. Matching vocals, mostly from old hip hop songs with catchy melodies (a lot of old eighties tracks)  together with each other ultimately creating a pretty cool sound. Here are some collabs that I took particular notice to after having heard the whole mix; available for FREE. Overall, it displays a fusion of house, pop, rock and hip hop from the 80s, 90s, and today. Fun little listen.

Dr. Dre's mythical album Detox shows recent signs of a release drawing near. This is rumored to be the first contender for first single off the new album. It was also brought to my attention that Dre is currently shooting a video although it's unknown for what song. It seems Dre is keeping up with the game. The ultimate justification will be made when it drops sometime this year. Hopefully.

According to last.fm the biggest influence for Futurecop! are "eighties teen flicks." Well this vid they have succeeded in capturing the eighties beach scene and every that went along with it. Living by the beach is truly a lifestyle and everyday a celebration. "Venice beach, you better keep up. You better keep up the party-tonight." If I lived in Venice I would be going ape! Doesn't get more real than that. Stupid good these guys. On a break, tour along with more action starts in December. Would love to see these guys at Coachella this Spring.

These two songs are the first and second singles from his second album Won't Go Quietly -- co-produced by Calvin Harris and other UK artists such as Bart B More. His song "Kickstarts" was featured on BBC's Radio 1 a few weeks back. His music sounds very similar to your typical dance type songs but definitely have a different feel to them with these quasi-rap/englishman verses. I dig it! Have a look. Also, included is this Devil's Gun remix which was first heard in the new Futurecop! Goes Clubbin' Mix. I prefer the cherry.
