A new release from Girl Talk just came out on Monday entitled All Day. He takes the same sort of route, same technique as before. Matching vocals, mostly from old hip hop songs with catchy melodies (a lot of old eighties tracks)  together with each other ultimately creating a pretty cool sound. Here are some collabs that I took particular notice to after having heard the whole mix; available for FREE. Overall, it displays a fusion of house, pop, rock and hip hop from the 80s, 90s, and today. Fun little listen.

Living by the beach is truly a lifestyle and everyday a celebration. "Venice beach, you better keep up. You better keep up the party-tonight." If I lived in Venice I would be going ape! His music sounds very similar to your typical dance type songs but definitely have a different feel to them with these quasi-rap/englishman verses. I dig it! Have a look. The Rawker E.P., hosting a song that currently sits at my top 10 list, came out earlier this month. Nonetheless, a video just emerged that has caught my eye solely because of this freaking app. Such an epic app (that apparently doesn't work with 3G!!!). There are actually two bands with the name Cassius but this one consists of two french producers. They came up with the name back in '97 which goes to show how old these fellahs are. Which also goes to show that there's no limit on the ability to consistently pumped out great music. Big ups. Side note: one year ago today I was walking around Amsterdam. If you've been, you know how glorious of an experience I had. On that note, I'd like to wish you a very glorious halloween.

This is the first post I've ever made about the Bloody Beetroots so I'll give you a little background info and go from there. They're a duo out of Vicenza Italy with a crazy weird style. They've recently swapped their name out for Death Crew '77 and have been cranking out some just crazy gnarly music. I never know where they're going with their music next. Recently they've been coming out with some super good remixes and I like where they seem to be headed. Here is song off of their first LP Romborama. Fucked From Above 1985. Being a product of '88 I have pride in this song. Luckily for all of us the power of the synth has endured decades and here you hear it today. As a listener, I find it kind of confusing to see where this group is intending to take me with their remixes. Most of them leave me wanting to chuck my computer at the wall. BUT with this particular one (which seems to be blowing up on the Hype Machine right now), they really kind of demonstrate their ability to produce something worth the time out of my day to listen. I really, really dig the bit of distorted/reverberated guitar in the first section. I'm certain that you'll be hooked.

Straight through the night. You gotta want something real bad to drive straight through the night but I can guarantee that when it comes time for Coachella, I will be driving straight through the night. And this will be the song I will fall back on when it's all said and done. A Through the Night remix from a group called The Swiss from Adelaide, Australia. Not a surprise due to the high volume of filthy music coming from dingo land. I feel that it stands out from all the others particularly because of that vocal effect. It's a shame I didn't hear it until now. Roll on with the Swiss.
